Unfortunately, in
today's society, many of us have applied the theories of relativism
and subjectivism,
especially as it pertains to the subject of
MORALITY.
We practice relativism
when we believe that the TRUTH
is allowed to be
changed according to who
is involved, the place where
something occurs, or when
something occurs. We change
the truth
from what it really "is" to make it into what we believe it
"should be!"
We practice subjectivism
when we judge what is right
and what is wrong in our own
minds.
What this basically means is that many
of us have the tendency to rationalize
in our own minds what
we feel
is correct
and
disregard
the
TRUTH!
|
|
This "belief
system" is deceptive! |
Many of us use this deceptive
"belief system" because in reality,
we do not want to LISTEN to
or BELIEVE the TRUTH.
Our Holy Father and our Bishops agree that they see a very disturbing spread of these two ways of
deceptive thinking and as a result has lead to a widespread
disregard to the teachings of the Magisterium of the CHURCH which teaches only
the TRUTH.
That is why theologians, catechists and religion teachers play a very
important part in the correct formation of
consciences.
Unfortunately, some people have never
seen nor heard the TRUTH
while others who have been blessed to do so, have willfully disregarded, and of
their own accord~~refuse
to SEE or
HEAR the TRUTH.
We MUST learn and
then teach the TRUTH because
Jesus Christ is the
TRUTH!
When we
know and teach the TRUTH,
we are able to become beacons of
FAITH, HOPE and
CHARITY to others!
