Prayer  ~~  "Come Spirit of Love!  

Come that as a result of our CONVERSION 
AND 
COMMUNION, 
a complete unity of all the peoples 
on this great CONTINENT OF AMERICA 
may take place!

That beginning with 
The CHURCH IN AMERICA  
a 
SOLIDARITY, 
never before seen 
on the face of this earth, 
may result!

 

 

The fight against corruption

 Our Holy Father and Bishops of America remind us that 
 CORRUPTION 
 throughout the great continent of 
AMERICA  
is 
widespread!

 

They feel that the most powerful way to erase this 
evil 
from society is 

"the greater involvement 
of 
competent Christian laity who, thanks to their training in the family, at school and in the parish, foster the practice of values such as truth, honesty, industriousness 
and the service 
of the 
common good."
They feel that the best way to do this is to TEACH and MAKE KNOWN the teachings of the Catechism of the Catholic Church {paragraphs 2419-2425} in regards to this subject to all people of good will.

Also, in regards to Catholics themselves, it is important for us to learn about the published documents from the various Bishop's conferences throughout America, which deal with this particular subject of corruption.

 

 

Unfortunately, many of the the poorer countries throughout AMERICA feel so burdened down by CORRUPTION 
within their countries that they begin to lose HOPE. 

It is our responsibility, as Catholics, to condemn this deadly epidemic of corruption  as a powerful evil! 

Our Pope advocates that this "plague" be combated forcefully by those in authority along with the generous support of ALL of us whose governments are involved!   

AND

Knowing that we TRULY care what is happening to our 
brothers and sisters in Christ, 

WE ONCE AGAIN MAY BECOME 
BEACONS OF LIGHT 

IN THE DARKNESS OF THEIR WORLD!
